It’s More Than Just Building to us, it’s Art
You’re unlikely to find anyone more obsessed about heritage homes than Jason Manning.
From the age of five, he always wanted to be a builder, even sketching out mini-homes in his pre-school books.
And the passion never died.
As a teenager, Jason (and wife to be, Carlee) would literally drive around estates and neighbourhoods admiring houses and their details. They soon developed a love for the heritage homestead and homes with personality and character. They would study colour palettes used, roof lines and material finishes.
Even today, they travel to the USA on almost an annual basis to attend the international builders show to stay on top of their craft - seeking inspiration, keeping up with new products and materials, connecting with other builders and fueling their passion for building unique homes.
Jason is all about the ‘details’! As his awards have stated, he is a wealth of knowledge in understanding how to execute the look of yesteryear. Keeping craftsmanship alive is what drives him. His wife states “while others are enjoying the theatre, he’ll be the one looking around admiring the old building’s charm and character details”.
Bottom line: Jason cares more about what he builds and how it is built than growing and expanding into a huge building company
And he’s committed too.
Even in the 2008 downturn when the market went soft, Jason refused to succumb to what he refers to as “the monotony of contemporary designs” as he has a deep-seated belief that every home should have a heart and a story - and no compromise should be made on quality or authenticity.
This attention to detail and commitment to preserving architectural artistry has made him one of the leading heritage home builders in the country, and...

The Design-Build Synergy
Jason offers both design and building skills and believes the art of building is inseparable from the art of design. This holistic approach is not just a professional choice; it's an innate part of who he is. He embodies a philosophy that to build something extraordinary, one must first be able to envision it, to draw it, to breathe life into it on paper before it takes form.
While many in the field specialise in one aspect, Jason excels in both, knowing that a true understanding of construction enhances his ability to design, and vice versa. For you, as our client, this translates into a multitude of benefits that elevate your experience and the final product. Including...
A Journey from Concept to Reality
The journey of creating your home is seamless. His ability to both envision and execute means the transition from design to construction is fluid and coherent. You are not just getting a blueprint of your dream; you are getting a vision brought to life with attention to detail.
Personalised Design, Tailored to Your Lifestyle
The home you design together will be one of a kind, perfectly aligned with how you live, work and play.
Efficiency and Cohesion in Every Step
The integration of design and building skills in one individual leads to unmatched efficiency and cohesion throughout the construction process. This means you are spared the typical disconnect that can occur between separate design and construction teams. Having Jason design, supervise and work onsite minimises misunderstandings and revisions, ensuring a smoother, more efficient build process.
Innovative Solutions to Complex Challenges
Jason’s ability to navigate seamlessly between design and construction equips him with a unique perspective to solve complex challenges. He can foresee potential construction issues during the design phase and address them proactively, resulting in a more well-thought-out end product.
